Japan is looking to introduce its own Visa Login feature to help visitors with their visa applications.
Recode reports that Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is pushing to get a new system that will allow Japanese citizens to use the internet and social media to log into their visas in the country.
The news comes on the heels of a new report that revealed that the government had been working on a visa-based system for six months and that it was likely to go live by the end of March.
Abe has previously said that Japan will “take care of its own visa” and he will push to get the new system ready before the end and to make it universal by the year 2023.
The government is currently trying to find out how to best integrate social media into its visa system.
