The Southwest visa login program has been suspended due to a security breach.
In a statement to Recode, Southwest says the “incident” was an issue with its system that affected “many, many” people.
The company says it’s working to “clarify the cause of the incident.”
“As soon as we learned of the issue, we immediately halted the program, which means people in our database will not be able to login until we fix the issue,” the statement said.
It says the program is now “on lockdown” while it “completes our investigations.”
It’s unclear what impact this has on other visa and immigration applications.
