Why does India want me?
Why do the government of India want to keep me in India and not allow me to come and work?
The answer is simple: I am not a resident of India.
In India, the residency requirement for an Indian citizen is that they have lived there for at least three years, and then they are a citizen of India for life.
In addition to this residency requirement, the Indian Constitution provides that the “immigrants and refugees” of the country are citizens of India regardless of their nationality.
Because if you are a resident, you are in India.
